​RadioAlty - Local radio just for you
RadioAlty is the local online radio station based in Altrincham,
​South Manchester.   We are a community station run by people from the local area - supporting the community which is at the heart of the station - music, bands, community groups, charities, and local businesses.

RadioAlty went live in March 2020 the week after the first Covid lockdown was announced, broadcasting initially from the homes of the people in the team.

​RadioAlty awarded by Altrincham Court Leet

On Saturday 21 June 2025, RadioAlty was  recognised by The Court Leet for our role in the community during Lockdown.

At a inspiring ceremony in which many local people were honoured and recognised by The Court Leet, the founding members of RadioAlty received the Antler award - which recognises local people for making a tremendous contribution to the local area.

Stephen Carlton-Woods, Chair of Altrincham Community Media speaking after the award said “It is a great honour to have been recognised by the Court Leet in this way.  This award is recognition of the whole team at RadioAlty  many of whom are from the initial group that joined in Lockdown.  We are proud to have helped so many people from the area get into opportunities in the media industry and to be a voice for Altrincham."
